BAAL Researcher Development Workshops 2025-2026
BAAL is delighted to announce that the following workshop applications have been successful in the 2025-26 funding round. BAAL Researcher Development Workshops are aimed at meeting the researcher development needs of BAAL’s junior academic members (e.g. doctoral students and early-career researchers), thus fulfilling our mission of ensuring continuity and renewal in the Applied Linguistics community.

BAAL funding call – Researcher Development Workshops 2025-26
As announced at the AGM at this year’s conference in Glasgow, we’re delighted to be launching new funding calls for (i) BAAL-Cambridge University Press seminars and (ii) BAAL Researcher Development workshops.
The key dates for both funding opportunities are as follows:
6 November 2025 (2-3pm UK time): Information session about these funding opportunities (session held online, see the link below)
20 November 2025 (5pm UK time): Submission deadline
January to December 2026: Seminars/Workshops to be held
