History

In 2017 the British Association for Applied Linguistics (BAAL) celebrated its 50th anniversary.

For this occasion, Greg Myers produced updated Notes on the History of the British Association for Applied Linguistics, 1967–2017.

The BAAL Archive is housed in the Centre for Applied Linguistics, University of Warwick.

Here are the original Notes on the History of the British Association for Applied Linguistics, 1967–1997 which were prepared by Rosamond Mitchell for BAAL’s 30th anniversary in 1997.
