I’m very excited to share the programme for the upcoming annual BAAL Language in Africa SIG conference which will be held on the 10th of May at the University of Portsmouth. The programme can be accessed on our website here.
This year’s conference theme is Language and Decolonisation in 21st Century Africa. We are also delighted to welcome Professor Rosemary Wildsmith-Cromarty as our plenary speaker who will deliver her talk ‘Language, Power and Decolonisation: Un ménage à trois?’
You can register for the conference here. The registration deadline for the conference is 22nd April.
