How do I log in to the Members area?

1. Click Members on the navigation bar.

2. Type in your email address and password.

3. If these are entered correctly, you can now access the Members only web pages.

4. If you do not have a log in address and password and you are a member of BAAL, please contact the Web Editor to have your web account created.

What if I have forgotten my password?

1. If you have forgotten your password, click Reset password on the log-in screen.

2. A new password will be sent to your email address. You can then change this to something more memorable after logging in.

How do I change my password?

1. Log in (see above).

2. Click Change Password.

3. In the Change Password box, type in your old password and your new password twice.

4. Click the Change Password button, and your password is changed.

How do I change my screen name?

After logging in to the website you can change your screen name by clicking Change screen name on the log-in screen. This is the name that will appear against your blog and discussion entries, so keep it professional. A tag like "languagebaby" is probably not how you would wish to be represented for the rest of your career.

What if I have forgotten my email address?

Contact the Web Editor and he will give you access. This may take a couple of days.

What if I have changed my email address?

Contact the Web Editor and he will give you access using your new email address. This may take a couple of days.

How do I log out?

You can log out on the Members page. Or if you close all BAAL site pages, or if you close your browser, you will be automatically logged out.

How do I apply to join a SIG?

1. Go to the page for the SIG you are interested in.

2. Click on the contact name in the lefthand column.

Why can't I access the Committee area?

The committee area is reserved for BAAL committee members. It contains pre-publication documents which are being circulated among committee members for discussion, and organisational documents such as the letterhead and compliments slip. Anything that is of interest to members will be transferred to the members area or main pages as soon as possible.
