CONFERENCE LOCATION

UNIVERSITY COLLEGE, CORK

Cork is the second largest city in the Republic of Ireland, situated on a fine natural harbour on the south coast. The city was given its charter in 1185, and has been home to the University since 1845. The University was built to the west of the city centre, about fifteen minutes' walk from the main street. www.cork-guide.ie/maps/corkcity.html

There is a train station with regular trains to and from Dublin, also Limerick. www.irishrail.ie  Buses also run directly from Dublin to Cork - this is by far the cheapest way to get to Cork from Dublin. www.aircoach.ie  and www.buseireann.ie

The conference will be held on the main University campus, in buildings adjacent to the Quad (quadrangle). For information, see www.ucc.ie . Click on Visitors to UCC for details of the university's history, maps, parking details etc.
