Frequently Asked Questions

1) Where do I park and how much is it?

If delegates are staying in University accommodation (Clifton Hill House or Durdham Hall) parking space is available at both halls of residence.  Clifton Hill House has minimal parking (around 20 spaces) and is on a first come first serve basis. Permits are not required.  There is an NCP Car Park on Constitution Hill which is located near to Clifton Hill House.  Durdham Park has good parking availability.

If delegates are staying in Hotel accommodation, most of the Hotels have parking on-site. Please note charges may apply so check when booking. All Hotels are in walking distance from the conference venue.

Clifton Hotel – Lock up garage and free street parking

Rodney Hotel – Free parking in adjacent streets.

Berkeley Square Hotel – Limited parking is available in the hotel’s secure garage.

Thistle Bristol Hotel – Secure parking onsite.

Marriott Royal Hotel – Parking is available at a minimal charge.

2) Where is the nearest bank/cash point?

There are various banks close to the Wills Memorial Building, which is located at the top of Park Street. HSBC Bank is located at the bottom of Park Street, down the hill – turn left on exiting the Wills Memorial Building.  There is a Nat west Bank, Barclays Bank and Lloyds Bank on Queens Road. Turn right on exiting the Wills Memorial Building and all 3 banks are in close proximity.

3) Where is the nearest Foreign Exchange?

There is a Foreign Exchange Bureau on Queens Road just past Sainsbury’s supermarket, a short walk from the Wills Memorial Building.
